Position Purpose

This position provides administrative oversight, direction and support of the assigned divisions’ Performance Improvement Plan to coordinate activities that provide opportunities to improve patient care, safety and the patient family experience consistent with Renown Health’s Mission, Vision and Values. This responsibility includes providing a planned, systematic, organization-wide approach to identifying, designing, measuring, prioritizing and monitoring all quality management activities, including new processes and services.

 

 

 

Nature and Scope

The scope of work includes education, training, hands-on participation/leadership and staff development in performance improvement activities. This position must have knowledge of current local, state and federal regulations and Joint Commission Standards. The incumbent must have highly developed organizational skills and interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and groups at all levels.

 

This position does not provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Description

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Must have working-level knowledge of English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. A master’s degree healthcare related field or in pursuit of master’s degree required.

Experience:

Minimum of five years healthcare leadership required. Experience with progressive responsibility and two years in quality improvement/patient safety management preferred.

License(s):

Professional Clinical Licensure Required.

Certification(s):

Certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred.

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
