This position is responsible for the identification, development and enhancement of reports, systems and procedures to allow for the accurate and timely monitoring and reporting of operating results and financial improvement opportunities. In this role, the incumbent will assist in the development of plans that support the Division’ and promote its ability to develop and maintain success as a financially sustainable division of Renown Health in an environment of increased government oversight, increased competition and consistent change in market demands.
Incumbent is responsible to assess and communicate financial outcomes for Division monthly financial reporting, operating and capital budget planning, long-range financial planning, productivity and other KPIs. Drive cost structure and margin improvement efforts. Independently perform and oversee complex research and financial analyses. Supports assigned operating Administrators with various initiatives, financial metrics, analyses and strategic projects. Provides support to various initiatives and task forces throughout the organization. Provides input and oversight of Divisional budget development and accountability. Completes and oversees pro formas in partnership with Operational Leaders for new or expanded services in alignment with the standard Renown pro forma process.
As necessary, oversee and/or complete annual benchmarking data submittal, oversee provider compensation, interprets reimbursement impact, cost accounting and oversee monthly contractual and bad debt reserves.
For projects or tasks, that the financial analyst team members are assigned the incumbent provides direction and oversight to their work and assists the VP of Finance to prioritize and allocate financial analyst resources. In addition, the position ensures that the internal financial staff understands the operational scope of the services provided to each department and the primary business purpose of efforts undertaken by the Team. This position is the key leader in implementing a customer service focused department to ensure that the internal and external customers’ financial needs are met timely.
Some of the challenges of this position include leading a finance team that provides timely and accurate information. Meeting the high demands of internal and external customers. The incumbent must be capable of and comfortable with shifting priorities at a moment’s notice and as information and organizational needs change. The position is challenged with providing continuous communication regarding the status of financial requests.
This position has access to proprietary information and has contact with external organizations and customers and will maintain high standards of professionalism, communication, performance and respect for confidentiality.
This position also oversees the administration of Renown Health’s management and capital planning/tracking reporting systems. This entails developing system tools and reporting for the Divisional CFOs and their respective Finance teams as well as managing the organization’s annual budget and financial planning roll-outs.
