Esthetician

Position Purpose:

Under the general supervision of the physician, this position performs specialized dermatologic procedures.  In addition, the esthetician provides skin analysis and develops skin care programs for clients. 

This position does provide patient care.

Nature and Scope:

This position will perform comprehensive facial esthetic services as well as cosmetic procedures including exfoliation treatments, medical peels, microdermabrasion, acne treatments, and facials.  It will be his/her responsibility to analyze skin and provides skin care consultations as well as developing skin care programs through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for patients.  The esthetician will also educate patients’ prescription skin care products and cross sell treatments and services when appropriate.

This position will need to research, understand, and promote skin care lines as well as have an understanding of surgical and laser procedures and practice pre – and post operative care routines. This position will also assist the physician with more invasive laser treatments.   Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, professional collaboration and presentation skills are a must.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based upon physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to the age of the patient served. The incumbent must provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and patient evaluation.”

Minimum Qualifications:  Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.

Experience:

One (1) year aesthetician experience referred. Clinical experience preferred.

License(s):

Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Esthetician license.

Certification(s):

Basic Life Support Required.

Computer / Typing:

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
