This position is responsible to conduct a watch in a patient’s room to prevent harm to the patient or others.
The incumbent will be required to assist nursing staff in a timely and consistent manner.
The incumbent must possess ability to communicate with patients and families in a caring and professional manner.
The incumbent must possess a polite, positive attitude while dealing with customers of all ages, social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
Incumbent must demonstrate the ability to work with Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric patient’s needs specific to the population being served, and meets standards of quality as measured by the Department age specific competency standard.
The incumbent must be able to function interdependently in a high-intensity atmosphere and make appropriate decisions relative to personal and patient safety. The incumbent must demonstrate the desire to promote a healing and caring environment.
If applicable, the incumbent must validate necessary skills to function safety and competently in patient observation using tele-sitter equipment to remotely monitor multiple patients simultaneously.
The Telesitter duties include but are not limited to- Use of the AvaSys TeleSitter solution software. Maintaining visual observation at all times. Verbally redirecting patient over digital 2-way audio device. Immediately summoning staff if the patient requires assistance.
This position does not provide patient care.
