Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, develop personalized treatment plans, and make a lasting impact on the lives of our patients and their communities. 

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop appropriate plan of care, and provide rehabilitation services through time of discharge from the facility.  

  • Collaborate with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans that align with patients' needs, preferences, and goals. 

  • This individual provides comprehensive physical therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients in acute inpatient, post-acute Rehabilitation, Home Care, Skilled Nursing, and/or Hospice settings; including their families/caregivers. Services include, but are not limited to, comprehensive evaluation and treatment of gait and transfer limitations, orthotic/prosthetic training and comprehensive wound care.  

  • Therapist is expected to provide services interchangeably among like facilities- acute care staff may float between inpatient hospital settings, while post-acute staff may provide services within various post-acute facility settings based upon census and business needs. 

  • Stay abreast of the latest research, advancements, and best practices in physical therapy through continuous professional program development and outcome measurements in clinical settings. 

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork, open communication, and knowledge sharing among colleagues. 

 

 

 Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency in conducting comprehensive evaluations, interpreting assessment findings, and developing effective treatment plans. 

  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities to address complex patient needs. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients, effectively educate them, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. 

  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care and promoting optimal functional outcomes. 

  • Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in physical therapy.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: 

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Recent graduates who have applied for the registration examination may be considered for provisional appointment. 

 

Experience: 

Applicants with physical disabilities experience, specialty certification or experience in one or more specialty areas are preferred. 

 

License(s): 

Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Physical Therapy license. 

Home Health- 205351 - Valid State of Nevada or California driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicles Report criteria and current automobile insurance for department. 

 

Certification(s): 

BLS/CPR certification per AHA standards required. APTA Geriatric Certified Specialty certification preferred for 740300, 200351 and 200353 therapists. 

 

Computer / Typing: 

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
