Position Purpose

This position is critical to Hospitality Retail success by having responsibility for the efficient and profitable operation of retail outlets. The Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that customer services is consistently provided for all customers, quality store operations are maintained and store partners are lead and empowered in a positive manner. Supervision of employees may include hiring, orientation, training, scheduling, timecards, evaluations, setting standards and ensuring discipline. The supervisor will be responsible for the engagement and morale of employees that report directly to them. This position will close sales, collect money, and enroll customers in Hallmark loyalty program using the retail division’s POS system. This position will assist with inventory control. Position reports to the Manager of Retail Stores. Subordinates will include Retail Lead, Retails Sales Associates and other retail employees when needed. 

 

 

 

Nature and Scope

It is the expectation of the Supervisor to be proficient in all retail sales associate’s job functions and be able to work in all retail store outlets as needed. 

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Establish rapport with current and potential customers, and their clinical providers, in order to understand their product needs

• Maintain and demonstrate complete knowledge of all store products, services hours of operation and scheduled daily group activities

• Assist in maintaining inventories, pricing policies as well as the cleanliness of fitting rooms and displays

• Partner with Retail leadership on establishing guidelines for visual merchandizing, lighting, signage, space plan, and fixture layout

• Ensure these guidelines are implemented consistently amongst all retail outlets and employees

• Drive sales to meet assigned sales goals 

• Provide payroll records in a timely manner

• Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers and contribute to team efforts

• Purchase order entry – re-orderable

• Ensure Retail operations are running efficiently and smoothly through review of sales reports, productivity, etc. 

• Assist with training of retail employees

• Fills in other retail positions on an as needed basis i.e. call-offs

• Creates and Maintains Retail Staff Schedules

• Holds retail staff accountable on a sustained basis using all tools available.

 

Any additional duties and/or projects assigned by the leadership of Retail.

 

This position does not provide patient care.

Education:

Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. College degree preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years retail experience in a department store or specialty store with at least 1 year of leader responsibility. Previous cashier experience in a specialty gift store preferred.

None.

Computer / Typing:

Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
